Organic Food Production Chain

Introduction
The summer school Organic Food Production Chain takes place at the University of Life Sciences, Warsaw. It starts with e-learning sessions in July and is followed by teaching and excursions in and around Warsaw. The course participants should study in the following subjects: M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences, Food Science, Environmental Sciences and related subjects. Advanced B.Sc. students who completed at least two years of study are also welcome.

- Plant protection and environmental issues
- Animal welfare and animal health
- Organic Processing
- Certification in Organic Farming
- Marketing of organic products
- Conversion to organic farming
- Organic food and human health
- Organic food quality and safety
- Consumer attitudes to organic farming
Course Organisation
The summer course is funded within the Erasmus framework for Life Long Learning. From each partner university, six students can take part in the summer course. The following universities are participating in the programme:

Two weeks summer course in from 9th to 22nd of August 2009, including projects and field work during the excursion to Brodnicki Landscape Park

If your application is approved please complete the registration form (available in April) and send it to:

Costs
Students from participating universities:
- The summer school is supported by the Erasmus Programme for Lifelong Learning
- Registration fee (50€) will be reimbursed during the course
- Subsistence costs including accommodation will be covered by the organisers
- Travel costs will be partly reimbursed during the course, on the basis of original tickets, receipts, boarding cards
Students from other universities have to cover all costs by themselves.
